Tundra Matt is a division of Welco Lumber Corp. — a privately held, employee-owned company incorporated in British Columbia in 1983.
Since 1983, Welco Lumber’s role in the industry supply chain has been primarily that of a wholesale lumber distributor. Focusing on providing quality products from various manufacturers to select markets throughout North America. Products offerings include a wide variety of commodity and specialty items; although our largest traded volumes have been from KD SPF products from British Columbia and Alberta.
We take great pride in delivering highly specified shipments to our valued customers on a “just-in-time” basis. To this end, we have offered rail and truck shipments direct from the mill and maintained inventories in reloads at strategic geographic locations close to the customer. In our continuing efforts to exceed service expectations — both our suppliers’ and customers — we have worked hard to develop a winning combination: the right people, a commitment to service, and the right products delivered at an affordable price.
We attribute much of Welco’s success to the efforts, dedication and commitment of our personnel. This has enabled us to build a cohesive team of traders, managers, credit, traffic, and support personnel that works closely together to provide great service, efficiently process transactions, resolve problems, and spearhead new initiatives.
Welco remains committed to delivering the quality products and service we have provided over the past twenty years. In addition, we are striving to add new offerings and expand our product lines on an ongoing basis. We are especially proud of our ability to offer exclusive products from our contract mills.
