Welco is one of the largest producers of crane mats in North America under our brand name.
We produce the highest quality mats using coastal timber as well as hardwood from South America.
Welco has formed a strategic partnership with Carlwood of Maple Ridge, B.C. who does an outstanding job of fabricating both softwood and hardwood mats.
We supply our mats to all major oil and gas companies and pipeline contractors throughout Canada and Western USA. We maintain a substantial inventory of timber, produced exclusively for Welco/Tundramatt, which enables us to react promptly on all orders.
Our distributor in Alberta - Myshak Sales sells mats and in addition has a large rental fleet of mats, cranes etc. Myshak provides basic "dry" mat rentals, to full service turn-key packages.
The manufacturing process uses the latest technology and is rigorously controlled to guarantee the highest quality.
All timbers are trimmed to length, dadoed or dapped to detail. Upon request, we can also install 1” wire lifting loops during assembly.
In addition to the 4x20 and 5x30 mats, we can produce and customize to any size, including wedge mats and ramps. We offer wood preservative treatment to our mats from 3” to 20” thick and up to 40’ in length.
